Our week-long segment of Project Educate is May 12 to 16th, and we're working hard to make it an outrageous Traditional fest. There will be Articles, Interviews, Features, Trivia, Critique, Contests, Prizes, ABC's, DYK's and even WTF's
We need you to come forward and give us a hand, volunteer for activities or write articles and features on your favorite Traditional Artists. Send your favorite Traditional GD a note and tell us all your great ideas

Entries must be submitted to the Contests & Projects -> Contests -> 2008 -> Express It category, which you'll find on the "Submit Deviation" menu, just follow the path when you upload your work. This is the only way to make sure your entry participates on the contest, please don't link to your work on the article or send us notes with links because they won't be considered as entries. References can be used with proper permission and credits, Google did not let you use that photo so forget it Feel free to note us any questions or doubts about it.


El Día Hispano 2008 fue un gran éxito y el concurso "Hispanos por la Paz" tuvo una excelente adhesión por parte de la comunidad. Tras una ardua selección, los ganadores de el evento general y las cuatro categorías fueron anunciados por los organizaores y puedes verlos en el journal de *Hispanart o en el sitio de *diahispano.
UPDATE: =angelelectrico ha anunciado que el premio de la Categoría de Arte Tradicional otorgado a *zeldis no cumplía con la fecha de publicación exigida, y en el momento en que la artista consultó sus dudas a los organizadores, las bases aún no estaban definidas. Por esto, el 2º lugar será compartido por *zeldis y *pynty, subiendo al 3º lugar la obra de *Kelloth. Los organizadores y jurado ofrecen sus disculpas y agradecen la excelente disposición de *zeldis para resolver el tema.


Hispanic Day 2008 was a great success and the Contest "Hispanics for Peace" had an excellent response from the community. After arduous deliberation, the winners of the main event and the four categories were announced by the organizers and can be seen at *Hispanart's or at *diahispanojournal.
UPDATE =angelelectrico has announced that the Traditional Art Category prize awarded to *zeldis did not meet the publication date requirements, and that at the time the artist requested said information the rules had not been defined. Therefore, the 2nd Place will be shared by *zeldis and *pynty, with *Kelloth's work moving up to 3rd place. The organizers and jury have offered their apologies and thank *zeldis' good will to solve this issue.

well, there are none. or almost none:

• Send DD suggestions to only one of us Traditional GD's. It gets confusing if you post all of us with the same message.


• Please check if your suggested deviant hasn't gotten a DD in the last 3 months. It is the only hard rule standing. Yes, you heard me right. (Does this means i can...? yes you can.)


• Personally, i'd like to ask you to put the name of the deviant on the Note's Subject. It's just easier to keep track of them that way

Remember, all art you submit must be your own. Webcam, cell phone and general low-resolution or blurry shots belong in your Scraps.
